Hersek Lagoon is the shelter, feeding and breeding ground of many species, especially waterfowl. Due to the fact that the lake does not freeze in winter, it is possible to see many bird species, especially flamingos and ducks, on the surface of the lake during particularly harsh years. There is also a bird watching tower and an information center.
