Şerâfeddin Zeynel Abidin Dağıstanî was born in 1875 in the village of Kikuni in the town of Gunip, Temirhan-shura province of Dagestan. He died in 1936 when he was sixty-three years old. His and his parents' graves are in the graveyard in Güneyköy. Şerâfeddin Zeynel Abidin Dağıstanî, one of the most distinguished Sufism of the last century, is also known with the nickname "Ebu'l-Fuqara".
In Sheikh Şerafettin Dağıstani His Holiness (K.S) dhikr is performed every Thursday and Sunday. Special programs are also held during the month of Ramadan.
